Concept mapping solutions to strengthen links between science and urban public policy

Canadian Science for Policy Centre Conference | November 2021 | Virtual Panel

The Collaboratory Uni-Cité organzed a panel at the Canadian Science Policy Centre Conference in November 2021, dedicated to bolstering collaboration between scientists and municipal decision-makers around urban transformation projects. Panel participants explored the opportunities and tensions between municipal and academic contexts.

In parallel, we ran a concept mapping exercise to generate ideas and solutions to support the strengthening of science for urban policy. Results were processed in real time. At the end of  the session, panelists and audience members reviewed and interpreted the results of the concept mapping exercise as a group to take stock of the proposed solutions.
